It could be a number of issues:

  1. Most obviously, worn belts. Replace the belts with the same or correct belt specified by the manufacturer.
  2. Incorrect belt tension, either adjust the belt tension system or ensure the mechanics of the auto tensioning system is working properly.
  3. Worn pulley, replace the pulley or pulleys with the correct pulleys as specified by the manufacturer.
  4. Belts have become glazed or have had oil/grease on them. Replace belts.
