In general one should kill no wasps outside. They are powerful pest controllers that remove caterpillars and other crop pests from gardens.

But the OP isn’t talking about a garden. It sounds like s/he has wasps hanging around an airport fuel tank, or maybe a parked airplane. This is a common problem, and very dangerous! Wasps have brought down planes!

La ragione è che certe vespe costruiscono i loro nidi in tubi cilindrici cavi, costruendoli da sole o usando quelli preesistenti che trovano... come il tubo pitot usato per rilevare la velocità dell'aria negli aerei. Questi devono essere coperti quando l'aereo non è in uso, per tenere fuori le vespe. Se bloccato da un nido, gli strumenti dell'aereo sottostimano la sua vera velocità, il che può causare gravi errori quando il pilota pensa che l'aereo sia più lento di quello che è! Bloccano anche gli sfiati del serbatoio del carburante e gli scarichi.

Ho paura che non ci sia molto da fare per queste vespe che tu non stia già facendo. Avvelena i nidi e poi rimuovili fisicamente, e sentiti libero di uccidere tutte le vespe che vedi all'aeroporto, ma sappi che nuove vespe le sostituiranno ogni anno. Perhaps there is a local pest control expert who can give better suggestions on how to remove them, but there is nothing to prevent them from coming… like the planes, they’re flying in from afar! Wasp inspections should thus be part of your airport’s Wildlife Hazard Management Plan, or something by that name. And be sure to use inlet covers on those planes!
