Tigers are apex predators, they are in business of hunting (to fetch their meals). Certainly its not a good comparison.

But for the sake of answering just look at those sharp canine, these upper jaw fangs can be as long as three inches. At 1050 pounds per square inch (psi) the bite force of a tiger is almost twice as stronger as a lion[1] (comparing it with a dog would be an injustice).

Tigers use these teeth to choke the neck animals as large as a Gaur (Indian Bison) or to break the spinal column of its prey. Anyday these canine can crush the skull of a tiny pitbull/ Rottweiler like a marshmallow in a single bite.

Claws:

These sharp claws are up to 10 centimeters (4 in) in length, they are further supported by strong and dense legs which are required to take down big prey. A single swipe of such a muscular claw with four sharp ending is enough to inflict a fatal blow.

Tongue

Tiger's tongue has hundreds of sharp, rear-facing spikes, they are evolved to strip the skin, feathers, fur and meat right off its prey. Feeling sorry for dogs.

Even though Tigers are solitary animals (unlike other predators including mighty African Lions) no predator messes with them even if he is alone. Probably they never require a security which a pride offers.

They know how to bring down big animals like gaurs, water buffaloes, sambar and wild boar. Some of them weights over a ton and are several times larger/heavier than tiger itself. Dog would be a piece of cake for tiger.
