• There are at least 2000 types/varieties of cheese, and one life is not enough to taste worldwide.
• I have seen cheeses that have extreme pungent and disgusting flavors but some people like it.
• Casu Martzu, most likely is a banned cheese in Italy, but my understanding: it is still made very privately and enjoyed by some.

Also known as ‘maggot cheese’, this traditional Sardinian dish is sheep’s milk cheese famous for containing live insect larvae. Apparently these wiggling little maggots are supposed to enhance the flavour, but are prone to jump when they panic, so watch your eyes.
