4. Do not over water the plants meaning keep the water drainage efficient.
5. Frequently replenish the nutrition. Jeevamrutha once a week or 15 days will do.
6. Do not spend lot of money on plants. Get free plants from other gardens in your gardening community. Multiply your plants and propagate, give away to other gardeners in return.
7. Go for perennials, as a result your investments in plants are almost permanent.
8. Maintain a good balance between trees, herbs, ornamentals, greens, veggies etc. Manage pests by having diversity of plants, aromatic plants and flowers and excellent nutrition which gives immunity to plants.
9. Use of automated drip irrigation with timers to set timing and frequency of watering.
10. Encourage bees and butterflies to visit your garden with nectar based flowers. Know the difference between good bugs and bad bugs.
11. Use dry leaves as mulch on top of the bins, which helps to maintain temperature and retain water. The mulch slowly becomes compost.
