First you have to make one with the desired effects, you’ll need:

• gunpowder
• dye of any color (up to 8 if you want, but this is better left for later due to the size limit of the crafting table)
• An effect item (optional), which can be:
  • Fire charge: causes a large spherical explosion
  • Gold nugger: causes a star shaped explosion
  • Head of any mob or player: creeper face explosion
  • Feather: concentrated, small explosion

You can also, optionally, add a diamond and/or glowstone dust to add lasting particles and/or a crackle effect respectively

The cheapest star takes 1 gunpowder and any dye

Once that’s done you have to put 1 to 7 firework stars, paper and gunpowder in a crafting grid, the more gunpowder the longer it will fly (maximum of 3). Each firework star will explode with their own individual effect, but will do so at the same time. Ogni stella aggiunge 1 cuore (2 punti) di danno all'esplosione
