The Indian agrarian society which was known for its rich cattle wealth is now in crisis.There is a severe dearth of farm yard manure ,for which cattle dung is the main source,even in remote villages.
The illegal slaughter houses owed to be the main reason for thi situation.The open secret is,daily thousands of cattle including calves are being transported to slaughter houses illegally,and these facts never get media's attention.
In current scenario , farmers are purchasing this FYM (farm yard manure) @Rs.3/kg and the price varies depends on distance of availability.
This is defenetely a big blow to second green revolution for which the main aim is organic agriculture.
