A few of the things I’d consider as possibilities, depending on the design of the house and your tastes:

• Build a small roof over the main entrance—not only does this break up the flat front, it gives you a space out of the rain to dig out your keys or get the door unlocked. If you’ve got the space on the stoop, a couple of tall shrubs in planters could add some texture and interest, as well.
• Consider changing out the siding partway up to create a horizontal break in the flatness. Maybe brick or stone fascia on the bottom half, or vertical board-and-batten on the top? A contrast in color as well as material will maximize the impact of this, if you choose to do so.
• Create a mix of shrubs and flowerbeds in front of the house, being sure to use plants of varying heights to help break up the flatness. Depending on how well your yard slopes away from the house, raised planting beds might be an option, as well…but they would need to be designed carefully so as to not create issues with water causing basement leaks or undermining a slab foundation.
• Add small awnings or shading devices above all of the windows on the front of the house, and maybe 2-tier benches with potted plants as well. Or go with shutters and window boxes.

Any of those could be done for a few hundred dollars in materials, but could add tons of curb appeal to the flat front. I’m most partial to defining the entryway with a small overhang, that could be done with as little as 2 2x4s, 2 2x6s, a 4x4, a sheet of half-inch plywood or OSB, a gallon of paint or outdoor wood stain, and a package of asphalt shingles, and could be completed in 2 days as a DIY project.
