No, the light from a computer monitor isn’t going to be bright enough to grow plants. For growing common houseplants, though, there are many bright LED lights you can use, also cool white fluorescent. Most houseplants are fairly low light plants, though, so you don’t really need to spend the money for fancy grow lights, or be too concerned about the wavelength - just the ordinary light from ordinary lamps in your home will be enough - just be sure to use plants that are rated as “low” or “medium” light plants.
