Yes.

Tomato plants contain tomatine, a slightly toxic alkaloid. There have been very few human deaths connected with its consumption, but it is by no means a good idea to eat any part of the plant except the ripened tomato.

It would seem that, to quote Joshua Levy's link below, the hazard is very low.
I still wouldn't eat it. I haven't been convinced by these articles that the tomato plant is good enough to make it worth chancing anything.
