Leaf miners are difficult to control but the good news is that the tomato plant can still produce a good crop of tomatoes. Insecticidal sprays are not very effective because the leaf miner larvae lives inside the leaf and is protected from exterior treatments.
The quickest and most effective method is to pick off the worst of the damaged leaves. You should pick the leaves before the flies hatch. Once you have picked off the worst ones, then in a few days go back and look for the next worst ones. The plant can grow new leaves to replace the ones you pick off if you give it some time. Quando le larve si schiudono in mosche, cercheranno di deporre altre uova.
