If you want to substitute grapefruit with something else then you can try following-

• Although there are not much good substitutes to grapefruit but you can drink a glass of water with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda instead.
• You can also substitute oranges or mandarin oranges for your grape fruit.
• Mango and peaches can also work wonders if you want to eat something fresh and tasty.
