Dracenas are among my favorite houseplants. There are lots of varieties and they are very tolerant of neglect. I have two different kinds, and I water them when I remember (about once every week or two). They don't care too much about location--one plant is in the window and one in the shade. If I think about it, I fertilize them once in a while. Before I moved across the country I had a dracena for about 15 years--it just kept growing regardless of how I took care of it.

These are the two I have. The top one is called dracena marginata and the bottom one is commonly called a corn plant.

Another very easy plant is sansevieria. Cresce meglio all'ombra, ha bisogno di essere annaffiata solo una volta al mese o giù di lì, non la concimo, e semplicemente cresce e cresce (lentamente, ma va bene perché così non ho bisogno di rinvasarla). Ci sono diverse varietà (alcune più alte, alcune più strette, alcune più basse) ma sono tutte buone.
