Klonopin is NOT something to be taken off of abruptly and needs to be tapered down to avoid things like body tremors, hallucinations, seizures…and more.

Of course, your question is a little vague as “abruptly” could mean cold turkey, or it could mean that they have “abruptly” decided to wean you off of it after years of taking it.

I don’t honestly know what supplements you could take…and I don’t know that I would answer if I did for 1 simple reasons:

Any treatment should be done in conjunction with a physician and not on your own.
You understandably have concerns, You need to be upfront and honest with your Dr.

I hope this Dr. is a psychiatrist and not a GP. If they are NOT a psychiatrist please find one ASAP to help you through this. They are trained to specifically deal with issues that klonopin would be used to address. A GP will not have the needed insight or understanding.
