Perché non posso postare le mie foto personali (foto scattate dalla mia fotocamera del telefono, non scaricate)? Quora mi permette di postare le immagini di Google ma non le mie, perché?

To Amir Bile Saban,

I have successfully posted personal photos I have taken in some of my Quora answers, so I am not sure why you are having difficulty. You might have a slow connection, or your photos might be too large. I have posted photos from my phone, computer, and laptop.

To do this on a computer or laptop, I download photos onto my hard drive, then upload them into Quora.

On Quora and in real life, before asking why something happens, one should ask whether it is true.

EDIT: On my phone, I was able to successfully upload the picture below by following what Michael Durcan suggested: I clicked the picture icon above my answer, then clicked the folder icon where my photos are stored on my phone (actually, mine are stored online in Google Photos, yours might be stored on your phone). I then inserted it into this answer.

I took the photo above at the corner of Knox Road and Route 1 in College Park, Maryland, last week, not far from my undergrad alma mater, the University of Maryland. The top two murals are stunningly brilliant, because they incorporate all the colors of the Maryland flag (red, white, black, yellow) as well as Maryland-centric flora and fauna:

  • Baltimore checkerspot butterfly (Maryland's official insect)
  • Black-eyed Susan (Maryland's official flower)
  • Terrapin, albeit with an uncharacteristic/artistic red shell (Maryland's official reptile, and the University of Maryland's mascot, there is even a statue of Testudo the terrapin in front of McKeldin Library on campus)
  • Turtlehead plant (visible in the second photo), used by the Baltimore checkerspot butterfly

In another photo I took from a different angle, you can see the white turtlehead plant at the bottom right below the terrapin, this plant is where the Baltimore checkerspot butterfly lays its eggs. To the left of the plant is a chrysalis of the butterfly. (I just think is quite cool that Maryland's official butterfly lays its eggs on the turtlehead plant, and I am sure the butterfly has no clue that the terrapin is Maryland's official reptile as well as the university's mascot. (Some people mistakenly think a terrapin is equal to a turtle, but they are quite different in terms of habitat and ability to live on land and water, as we learned when I was a student at Maryland in my undergrad days.)

For context about the colors, below is the iconic Maryland flag (not posted from my phone, I posted this later from Pixabay using my computer, because I don’t have a flag photo on my phone). I clicked on the photo, copied it, and pasted it into my Google answer. If that hadn’t worked, I would have copied it to my hard drive and uploaded it from there.
